The Digital Channel Intern is responsible for supporting the administration, management and operations of the digital platforms especially the over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform of the School of Media and Communication, Taylor’s University, ensuring they align with organizational goals and provide an exceptional user experience.
Reporting directly to the Channel Manager, the Digital Channel Intern is responsible for reviewing, editing, curating, managing and promoting content - ensuring all content adheres to the guidelines set by the Channel Manager.
The Digital Channel Intern is expected to be familiar with media services in general and other related technologies.
KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Platform Support:
Content Information Review, Editing and Maintenance:
• Reviewing of content and its attached information for grammatical coherence and clarity.
• Ensuring consistency in style and tone throughout the content.
• Assessing the overall structure and flow of the content and its attached information.
• Rearranging or reorganizing content and its information to improve readability and viewership.
• Reviewing and keeping content up to date by identifying outdated information.
Analytics and Performance Monitoring:
• Generate monthly (overview) reports from analytics received from vendor
• Assist Channel Manager by providing data-drive recommendations to enhance platform performance and user engagement.
Audience Understanding:
• Assist Channel Manager in identifying audience (via analytics) and tailoring the content accordingly.
Quality Control:
• Assist Channel Manager in ensuring content meets quality benchmarks and aligns with the standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Verifying and conducting quality assurance checks on all content produced before publication.
KEY COMPETENCIES
The position is open to candidates with digital media production and editing experience or a relevant degree.
