Are you a student passionate about workplace safety, environmental compliance, and creating a safer working environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic EHS Intern to join our team and gain hands-on exposure to Environment, Health & Safety activities in a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an EHS Intern, you will work closely with our EHS Specialist and support various activities, including:
- Support Responsible Care (RC) audit preparation and other EHS-related activities.
- Assist in maintaining and updating EHS documents, including policies, procedures and Work Instructions (WI).
- Support EHS induction training and safety awareness activities.
- Assist in coordinating factory safety inspections with internal teams and external parties.
- Support the coordination of environmental and occupational health assessments, such as noise, pollution and health assessments.
- Participate in workplace EHS risk assessments and follow up on improvement actions.
- Support accident and incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions with relevant departments.
- Help promote good EHS and safety practices among shopfloor employees.
- Gain exposure to regulatory requirements, corporate EHS standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Good understanding of the fundamentals of occupational safety.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work and communicate with employees at different levels.
- Organized, proactive and willing to learn.
- Good time-management skills.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or statistical techniques would be an added advantage.
