With approximately 250 professionals in 32 markets, BGA advises many of the world's leading consumer packaged goods, healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical technology, nutrition, and life sciences companies as they navigate complex policy, regulatory, and stakeholder landscapes. The Consumer Packaged Goods & Healthcare team is building a deliberate, data-driven marketing apparatus to nurture leads, convert prospects, and grow BGA's Business Development pipeline. This intern will sit at the center of that effort. 


Position Responsibilities 

  • Conduct company, stakeholder, and industry research to support business development initiatives, client engagements, and strategic projects.  
  • Monitor and analyze relevant policy, regulatory, market, and geopolitical developments, identifying implications for clients and business opportunities.  
  • Track sector-specific developments and compile timely intelligence for internal and client updates.  
  • Attend and report on events, conferences, webinars, and discussions hosted by think tanks, universities, government agencies, industry associations, and other relevant institutions.  
  • Support business development activities, including prospect research, market mapping, opportunity tracking, and preparation of proposal materials.  
  • Assist with data entry, administrative support, and other ad hoc tasks as required. 


Job Requirements 

  • Pursuing or holding a graduate degree in international affairs, public policy, public affairs, area studies, journalism or a related field; outstanding undergraduate candidates with equivalent experience considered. 
  • Demonstrated interest in the Indo-Pacific region and/or government affairs consulting. 
  • Strong research, analytical and writing skills in English; proficiency in an Asian language is a plus. 
  • Comfort managing multiple workstreams under deadline pressure. 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and collegial; able to take direction from multiple stakeholders. 
  • Authorization to work in Malaysia is required.
